Brandon Roy has reached a verbal agreement to join the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to multiple reports.
Nearly seven months after leaving the game because of concern over his degenerative knees, Roy is making a comeback, verbally agreeing to a two-year, $10.4 million contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday.
Roy was ineligible to return to the Blazers because in December the team used its amnesty clause to relieve the remaining $68 million of Roy’s salary from its books.
