Remember when Jon Osterman fully reappeared as a tall, hairless, naked, blue-skinned figure in the Watchmen graphic novel? Well, the same thing kinda happened to Amare Stoudemire when he signed with the Knicks, but he kept his goatee, wore clothes, couldn’t perceive the past, present and future simultaneously and instead of calling him “Dr. Manhattan” we call him STAT. So really they’re nothing alike, but this piece by Bobby Bernethy that draws a parallel between the two is outstanding nonetheless.
