The Toronto Raptors have been movers and shakers this off-season, kicking ass and making acquisitions all summer long. Days after moving Roko Ukic and Carlos Delfino to Milwaukee, Raps GM Colangelo might not be through tinkering with the line up in the T-Dot.
Just when it appeared Byran Colangelo’s makeover of theRaptors was over, comes word that the GM isn’t done. Talk is the Raps are keen on sending Marcus Banks to Dallas for Matt Carroll in a swap of guards which, in effect, amounts to a salary dump by the Mavericks. Carroll, who is signed through 2012, has, at least, shown that he can play at the NBA level, while Banks has done basically nothing except be used in trade scenarios.
This trade’s a no brainer for the Raptors if they can trick the Mavs into doing it because I can’t recall the last time Marcus Banks actually played in a game. No seriously!
