The Pacers believe Danny Granger can develop into a superstar and they thought Stephen Jackson was becoming a strong negative influence on the young player, which was a key reason for this week’s trade.
“That was the last straw,” said a source. “They saw what was happening and didn’t want (Jackson) to be a negative influence on Granger.”
