New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony sat down with Vice Sports to reflect on his participation in the protest march of Freddie Gray, who was tragically killed by Baltimore police.
“Baltimore is the city that raised me, and I’ve seen the good and the bad. But after Freddie Gray was killed in 2015, for the first time I saw my city truly divided. With anger boiling over about the injustices suffered by underprivileged communities, I went home to spend some time in the streets and show some much-needed love to the people that made me who I am.”
