Jeff Hornacek has been tabbed as the next head coach of the New York Knicks, signing a three-year deal according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.
“Knicks president Phil Jackson met with Hornacek twice, choosing him over a finalist pool that included David Blatt, Frank Vogel and interim coach Kurt Rambis. Hornacek represents a departure from Jackson’s stated intention of running his famed triangle offense as New York’s primary system.”
Hornacek previously spent two and a half seasons coaching the Phoenix Suns before being fired and replaced by assistant Earl Watson in February.
