Arron Afflalo dropped a season-high 38 points in a Knicks win over the Hawks. Shooting 14-17 from the field with seven threes but for the defensive minded Afflalo getting stops was the key.
“Throughout our mini-losing streak this past week, we’ve been one of the worst defensive teams in the league, so we really wanted to focus on helping each other out defensively and moving the ball offensively,” Afflalo said. “When we get defensive stops, we tend to get run outs, open shots. Defense is the answer.”
