Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis had his first breakout game of his career, posting a season-high 29 points (10-for-17 from the field) with 11 rebounds in 31 minutes to beat the visiting Hornets. His more famous teammate Melo was pretty happy for the rook.
“It felt good to hear his name chanted in the arena,’’ Carmelo Anthony said. “I am proud of him. “It was a big game for him. I am sure it’s going to be the first of many.’’
