In a cool collaboration with MGM Studios, the Indiana Pacers unveiled alternate “Hickory” uniforms from the basketball movie Hoosiers, that they will wear for select games next season.
“Our team will be honored to wear the Hickory uniforms because of the attention it will bring to the storied history of Indiana basketball and the success of that movie,” said Pacers President of Basketball Operations Larry Bird. “Hoosiers takes us all back to a special place and time.”
The movie Hoosiers starring Gene Hackman based on an Indiana high school basketball team, will celebrate it’s 30th anniversary of being released during the 2015-16 NBA season.
