MVP Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors are heading to the NBA Finals for the first time in 40 years. After beating the Rockets in Game 5 to close out the Western Conference Finals.
“Winning feels like relief most of the time, but to get to the NBA Finals for the first time in 40 years for the Warriors, it’s more than relief. It’s joy,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said. “Our players are feeling it, and I know our fans are.”
After waiting four decades to see championship basketball in The Bay Area, folks will have to wait another week for the series to begin.
