LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers are heading back to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2007 after sweeping the Atlanta Hawks.
“(There were) people saying I wanted Coach Blatt fired,” James said after the Cavs eliminated the Hawks. “Or that we needed another point guard. Or asking if LeBron and Kyrie would be able to play together. So many story lines were just happening at that point in time. For us to be sitting at this point today, being able to represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals is special. It’s very special.”
If an MVP award for the Eastern Conference Finals existed it would surely be LeBron James. On his way to the NBA Finals for the fifth straight season, James averaged 27.6 points, 10.4 boards and 8.3 assists.
