Thor has his hammer and LeBron James has his headband. Seeking redemption from a subpar Game 1 performance, King James slipped his familiar head accessory and dominated the Bulls from the jump ball for 33 points and 8 rebounds in Game 2.
“For our team, we’re a little shorthanded,” James said. “So extra shots I’m getting right now that would be for Kevin (Love), a couple more extra shots I’m getting would be for JR (Smith) … so I have to kind of change my approach.
“Kyrie wanted me to be ultra aggressive, which I’m not accustomed to doing, especially taking that many shots. I’ve never been a high volume shooter, but I had to respond for my teammates.”
Previous to last night, James had his headband parked since March 7th. Look for that to change going forward.
