It all seems weird, but the bit of the schedule usually yields strange happenings. Last night with the Spurs visiting MSG, the Knicks led by Alexey Shved’s 21 points and 7 assists decided to win — in overtime — seriously.
“The Knicks rallied from a 13-point deficit to stun the defending NBA champion Spurs, 104-100, in overtime Tuesday night at the Garden. The Spurs were without Manu Ginobili, but Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard were all on the floor for the final minutes of regulation and overtime.
Gregg Popovich called it a “pathetic performance” and was upset that his team “didn’t respect the game and we didn’t respect the opponent.”
The five-time championship coach also praised Derek Fisher for how he has conducted himself during a “difficult year.”
