Washington Wizards point guard John Wall filled up the stat sheet against the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves with his old coach Flip Saunders on the opposing side. Posting a healthy 21 points, 17 assists and four rebounds.
“He was a kid when I had him, a baby,” Saunders said. “He’s turned into a man now. When I had him earlier he thought he had to prove he can shoot. He thought he had to prove those things. Now he doesn’t have to prove those things. He’s got a contract. It’s his team. And what he does is he makes everybody better.”
The 17 dimes was a career-high for wall and it also matched the entire assists total of the Timberwolves. Wall is off to a fantastic start to the season with 15 double-doubles under his belt already.
