Cleveland Cavaliers point guard and newest Nike signature athlete Kyrie Irving put on a show at Madison Square Garden. Scoring 37 points in a close 90-87 road win against the Knicks with many Uncle Drew-y like highlights. Per ESPN:
“I saw something different out there, but that’s just part of the game,” Irving said of his reaction to Blatt’s timeout. “He called timeout, drew up a heck of a play, trusted me with the ball at the end of the game, and we’re getting used to one another.”
“Spectacular,” James said. “Any time we needed a bucket, he made it. Any time we needed some energy, he gave it.”
In his first four games at Madison Square Garden, Irving has averaged 31 points per game.
