After four games away battling injury, Derrick Rose returned to the Chicago Bulls lineup and scored 18 points with a team high 5 assists to help the Bulls edge out the Utah Jazz on the road 97-95. Per the Chicago Tribune:
“Right now it’s just playing through the fatigue,” Rose said before the game. “Hamstring injuries, when you hurt ’em, you’ve got to wait for them to heal. You’ve got to really test it while you’re out there. And fatigue has something to do with it. I’m just trying to see if I can play through the fatigue.”
Rose also discussed his toughness.
“Tougher than what I thought (after the injuries),” Rose said. “I am just happy I have good teammates around me. I am happy I have a good staff around me, good training staff around me. And I am happy I have my family and friends around me.”
The Bulls continue on the road against the Denver Nuggets tonight.
