Just like that the Derek Jeter farewell tour with the New York Yankees is over and Fenway Park was his last stop. While the Red Sox and Yanks have a bitter rivalry stretching back to the days of Babe Ruth. For “The Captain” Beantown gave Jeter the full treatment which included an unforgettable pregame ceremony attended by former great Boston captains like Bobby Orr (Bruins), Troy Brown (Patriots), and the very still active Paul Pierce currently with the Washington Wizards among others. So yeah, enjoy trying to envision “The Truth” in any other city besides Boston all over again.
