In a nice twist. Craig Sager Jr. stepped in for his dad currently battling leukemia to interview Gregg Popovich during Game 1 of the Mavericks vs Spurs series and Popovich had some great things to say about the guy he usually gives a playful hard time.
“Craig we miss ya, you’ve been an important part of all this for a long time, doing a great job. We want your fanny back on the court and I promise I’ll be nice.”
Sager will most likely not be available for sideline duties for the 2014 NBA Playoffs as he fights to stay healthy, but we’re all pulling for him to get better for the start of the next season.
