The Knicks came to Chicago and ran into a buzzsaw mainly held by Joakim Noah who scored 13 points, 14 assists and 12 rebounds for his 5th career triple double.
“Everybody knows what this team has gone through, playing without our best player,” Noah said, referencing Derrick Rose. “We feel like we’ve come close to getting that ring. Our mentality is to play in those big games so when our young boy comes back, we’re ready.I want a ring so bad. And I know that one day our time will come.”
The career-high 14 assists Joakim Noah had was also the most assist recorded by a center in a game since 1986.
Joakim Noah is the first center with 14 assists in a game since at least 1986.
