To coincide with the Raptors 20th-anniversary season. The fifth most populous city in North America Toronto will finally host an NBA All-Star game and it’s about freakin’ time.
Although it is not official, multiple sources including Sportsnet 360 are reporting it’s pretty much a done deal and with an announcement expected later today from the league and or from Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment.
It has been a goal of new MLSE president and CEO Tim Leiweke to land the event as part of his rebranding strategy of the beleaguered Raptors franchise. Mission accomplished!
