Rick Reilly and Stephen Curry Fighting Malaria in Africa

This season Stephen Curry pledged to send three Malaria nets to Africa for every 3-pointer he hit and that worked out pretty well, cause all Curry did was break the single-season record for 3-pointers. Making 272 from downtown to eclipse the previous mark held by Ray Allen.

For those of you without access to calculators or Siri at this very moment, that means Curry donated a total of 73, 984 nets to help protect families from Malaria. Nice.

Co-founded by Sportswriter Rick Reilly in 2006, the foundation helping to fight Malaria in Africa is called Nothing But Nets and if you would like to help, today on World Malaria Day would be a great time to get involved. Up until midnight, Reilly will match all donations made to Nothing But Nets up to $20,000. Send one net, save twice the lives. Not bad.
