Like a fat kid drawn towards a really good Chicago style deep dish pizzeria. The comeback story of Derrick Rose continues to attract mad media attention. Rachel Nichols from ESPN was the latest to get a recent update on the former MVP’s rehabilitation progress and it’s a mixed bag.
So far, just being able to walk has been Rose’s greatest challenge on his long road back, but you’ll be happy to know that he’s now able to run, jump and shoot. He still can’t move laterally with force, but that will come with time. He seems to be improving at a good rate, but I just hope he talks to Grant Hill before he even contemplates an early Bulls playoff push comeback. That would just not end well.
Of course, that’s assuming the Bulls even have making a playoff push as an issue with their best player sidelined until at least 2013.
