Earl ‘The Pearl’ Monroe Mixtape

/

In his day, Earl Monroe aka “The Pearl aka  “Jesus” was a spinning improvisational offensive machine.  Capable of going nova on opponents with style at the drop of a Fedora. He once famously said, “The thing is, I don’t know what I’m going to do with the ball, and if I don’t know, I’m quite sure the guy guarding me doesn’t know either” and judging by this mix you’ll see what he’s talking about.

As a testament to his impact on the game which included a championship, Rookie of the Year award and multiple All-Star appearances. Monroe had his number 15 jersey retired by the Knicks in 1986 and again in 2007 with the Washington Wizards who retired his number 10 jersey. I could watch him spin all day!
