Outlet Pass: 30-10 Heat Stats, Lakers Stay Hot + Spurs Skidding

With the playoffs looming, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are finding a new gear.

And they accomplished something Sunday that hadn’t been done in more than 50 years.

Each of them had 30-10 nights – James with 33 points and 10 rebounds, Bosh had 31 points and 12 rebounds, and Wade shook off a bruised tailbone to finish with 30 points and 11 boards – as the Miami Heat beat the Houston Rockets 125-119 for their eighth win in nine games.

It was the first time since February 1961 that three teammates finished with at least 30 points and 10 rebounds in a non-overtime game.
Press Release

One thing’s for sure as the Lakers improved to 15-1 since the All-Star break.

They would love to play New Orleans in the first round of the playoffs.

The Hornets continued to be the NBA equivalent of an intentional walk for the Lakers, the latest meeting much like the last several, this one a 102-84 Lakers victory Sunday at Staples Center.

The Lakers led for almost the entire game, their fans cheered, then the Lakers won by a lot and their fans would be forgiven for yawning. They’ve seen this game already, the Lakers moving to 4-0 against the Hornets this season by an average margin of almost 11 points.
LA Times

The injuries are suddenly beginning to mount for the San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs, already missing Tim Duncan because of a sprained left ankle, were without leading scorer Manu Ginobili for most of the second half of Sunday’s 111-104 loss to Memphis.

Ginobili sustained a left quad contusion early in the second quarter after catching a knee from Grizzlies center Marc Gasol.

Ginobili left the game, but was able to make a quick appearance in the second half before leaving the contest for good.
