Phi Slama Jama was the nickname of the University of Houston Cougars men’s basketball teams from 1982 to 1984. Coined by former Houston Post sportswriter Thomas Bonk. Coached by Guy V. Lewis, this squad featured Hall of Famers and NBA Top 50 players Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler. Flash forward to now, and Homage created a tee to celebrate the dunks of knowledge that came outta U of H, so may years ago.
