Late last week, Chris Paul made Christmas come before Halloween for a group of parents with children that attend KIPP Central City Primary School by announcing that he and Chase Bank would be donating $500,000 each, towards the launch of an after school program at the school during a ceremony.
Labelled the “CP3 Afterschool Zone” for Central City children in New Orleans four long blocks away from the New Orleans Arena where the Hornets play . The program will be free of charge to young students and provide them with a wide range of afterschool activities, including help with homework, art, music and sports.
Growing up in Winston-Salem, N.C. CP3 and his brother CJ both participated in after-school programs where they got to try their hand at arts and crafts, music — and dancing. Well done Mr. Paul!
