Suns sharpshooter and fan favorite Jared Dudley just got a phat contract that will keep him shooting and joking in Phoenix until 2014-2015.
The four-year, US$17-million deal with a player option for a fifth year kicks in next season and judging by the tweet he released after the contract was officially announced, he’s a pretty happy dude about the added job security.
Dudley will get $4.25 million each season, beginning in 2011-12, and can add additional money through incentives.
Last season Dudley averaged 8.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists while playing in all 82 regular-season games including all 16 playoff contests and lead the Suns in steals with an average of nearly 1 pilfer a game.
