Straight outta Stanford, Landry Fields drafted 38th overall in the 2010 NBA Draft, signed his first professional contract to play in the NBA for the New York Knicks.
“It feels awesome, man, said Fields It feels good to be here in New York. Playing in Summer League was always something I wanted to do, I just played the best I could in front of our fans. I really didn’t do anything differently than what I’ve been doing my whole career at Stanford and even before that.”
Nobody should read too much into Summer League numbers, but Fields had a “field day” in Las Vegas posting averages of 15.6 points and 4.8 rebounds in five games. If he can even give the Knicks half of those numbers during the regular season, he’ll be a bona-fide late round steal.
