Ilgauskas To Ink 1-Year Deal With Cavs

As expected, Zydrunas Ilgauskas the Cavaliers all-time leader in games played, rebounds and blocked shots’ will re-sign with the Cavs and according to The Plain Dealer. It will be a one-year deal signed  today, for Big. Z  to pick up where he left off.

Ilgauskas will make approximately $150,000 for the rest of the season which is the prorated amount of the 10-year veteran’s minimum. When the Cavs travel to play the Hornets and a now healthy Chris Paul, Ilgauskas will likely see some minutes in his return.

To make room for the center, the Cavs will have to waive a player on their current roster.

Ilgauskas, was traded to the Wizards who shipped Antawn Jamison and Sebastian Telfair to the Cavs in return. He was then bought out by the Wizards making him a free agent. However he had to wait 30 days to re-sign with his old team under league rules.
