Homer News: Milwaukee Bucks (36-29)

Bucks hold off Pacers at the end to sweep home stand
After beating three powerful teams – Cleveland, Boston and Utah – the Bucks tried hard not to peek ahead to their three-game western trip this week. They almost did.

But a more-than-solid showing by the bench helped rescue a sluggish performance by the starters as the Bucks were able to improve their record to 36-29 with their sixth straight victory 12th in their last 13.

Forward Jerry Stackhouse was hot early and he led the way with 20 points in 24 minutes off the bench, and four Bucks reserves combined to score 46 points, almost matching the starters’ total of 52.

“We haven’t done anything,” Brandon Jennings said after Friday’s win over Utah. “Everybody’s still fighting for the playoff spots and we’ve got to keep going. We can’t get comfortable now.”…

I had to wait another 10 minutes to get my food.

My meal ended up being better than I expected and they gave it to me on the house for my troubles, so when it was all said and done I was pretty pleased with the end result. Still, the process I went through was unsatisfying.

And by describing my Saturday evening dining experience, I’ve more or less told you the story of the Bucks-Pacers game Sunday afternoon. The Bucks played down to the Pacers level, which made for some sloppy basketball and an overall unsatisfying experience…
