Despite trade rumors swirling around the Boston Celtics and in particular Rasheed Wallace, GM Danny Ainge feels there is no need to trade ‘Sheed.
“There is no truth to either one of those,’’ Ainge said. “I have had conversations with a lot of teams but those have never been discussed. There are a lot of things I would like to do, but I don’t feel a need to do something. I am always looking to upgrade the team, if possible.’’
Face it, the Celtics look wicked tired these days and they could benefit from some young legs being added to the second part of their NBA campaign. However, I really don’t think I would trade Rasheed Wallace or Ray Allen for all the Tea thrown into the Boston Harbour back on December 16, 1773.
Just because those guys are usually the difference in important games and you just can’t give that up right now if you’re the Celtics either.
