The 76ers have decided that Allen Iverson ain’t so bad after all, and have made his non-guaranteed contract guaranteed for the rest of the season. Hopefully, Iverson sends Gilbert Arenas a thank you DM via Twitter for the eye opening comparison.
Before the Sixers game against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday at the Wachovia Center, the club guaranteed the guard’s contract for the remainder of the 2009-10 season. Iverson originally signed as a free agent with the Sixers on Dec. 3.
“Since his arrival, Allen has done everything asked of him and has been an excellent teammate,” said Sixers general manager Ed Stefanski.
Who would have ever thought that Arenas’ gangster would trump Iverson gangster? Each time I hear details about the Arenas story, more guns get involved. Kinda like the Tiger Woods story, but with more Love Ninjas being involved each time.
In his return to the Sixers, Iverson has averaged 15.7 points, 4.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 33.2 minutes per game. While shooting a career-best 47% from the field.
