Well, well, well. The New York Knicks have decided to to make a commitment to stinking by not signing Allen Iverson and now the A.I. in NYC dream is officially dead.
Team president Donnie Walsh says the team has decided not to make any additions despite its 2-9 record. He added the decision to pass on the former MVP had nothing to do with Iverson.
Iverson was waived by the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday and became a free agent Thursday night. Walsh said Friday he wasn’t interested because Iverson would take time away from the young players the Knicks are trying to develop.
New York, where questionable GM moves happen.
