Moments after agreeing in principle to one of the richest contracts in Trail Blazers history on Wednesday, Brandon Roy shifted his focus back to his long-term goal: an NBA championship.
“My family and I are extremely happy I will be a Blazer for a long time,” Roy said after agreeing to a four-year deal, with a player option for a fifth season. “And I am very focused and determined to bring a championship to the Rose City.”

Roy stands to make nearly $82 million over the length of the contract, but exact figures won’t be known until the salary cap is set for the 2010-11 season.
