Oh the humanity! I never had a chance to see this game, but when I heard the score I fully expecting to see 10 DNP’s on the Hornets roster due to Pig Flu or Zombie bite in the games box score. Don’t get me wrong, Denver is a way better team than they get credit for, but how can the Hornets lose by 58 without being zombies hungry for brains with limbs falling off? Â
“Throughout this roller-coaster ride alongside Carmelo Anthony, Denver’s players have always been reassured by that million-dollar grin, which is a reminder that when things are going well, there aren’t many guys you would rather have on your side than Melo.
There was that smile on Monday after each Anthony jumper. In the biggest game of the season — Monday’s 121-63 Game 4 smackdown of the Hornets — Anthony scored 26 points (on 9-for-17 shooting), including 17 in the first half, when, essentially, Denver buried New Orleans, leading 61-39 at the half. The hysterical win was historic. The 58-point margin tied the record for the largest in NBA playoff history.”
This is the kind of beating that makes the next game a instant classic, so look for Chris Paul and the Hornets to play out of their minds. But at this point, that still might not be enough.
