Steve Nash dropped 19 dimes in a lose against the Knicks 114 – 109. But according to an interview Nash did with the New York Post, the chances of Nash wearing Knickerbocker home white in 2010 sound pretty even. Nash is focused on the Suns for now but he definitely has living and playing in New York full-time in 2010 on his mind. Â
“The Knicks are a storied franchise. Obviously, the mecca of basketball. There are a lot of positives (signing there). I love the city. Obviously, I have a great relationship with Mike D’Antoni. At the same time, I’ve built a home and career in Phoenix. so the first option is to get this team where it needs to be. And that may entail being here long-term. […] “It’s a year and a half from now. A lot of things can happen. It’s nothing more than great speculation.”
Considering every team is balancing their books to have cap room by 2010 for King James, decision time for the Suns brass isn’t that far away. It will be interesting to see if the Suns let Nash walk or if they’ll add real pieces to get them over the top?Â
