There is no quit in Isiah Thomas, but there appears to be some resignation that his days in New York are numbered. Responding to reports in Saturday’s Daily News that Garden chairman James Dolan has told confidants that he will make a coaching change, Thomas told reporters Saturday, “Well, when that happens we will all know.” Thomas emphatically refuted a report in another New York newspaper that claimed he would make a preemptive strike by leaving the bench and returning to his position as Knicks president on a full-time basis.
