It was another day, another half-full practice for the Pistons.
X rays of Rasheed Wallace’s left ankle showed no broken bone — just a sprain — and coach Flip Saunders said his status is day to day.
Chris Webber practiced after getting a checkup on his left eye. Webber, who was squinting when talking to reporters, switched medications for the injury he suffered in the Feb. 21 win over Orlando.
Lindsey Hunter (flu) also was excused from practice, and Flip Murray (personal reasons) was expected to rejoin the team Wednesday night.
Saunders played down the severity of Wallace’s and Webber’s injuries, saying he doesn’t expect either to miss games.
Webber said his eye turns blurry when he uses his new eyedrops, but he said he wouldn’t apply them before a game. Webber also said he probably would not wear goggles if the problem persists.
