The Atlanta Hawks today acquired guard Anthony Johnson from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for the Hawks’ 2007 second-round draft pick, according to Hawks Executive Vice PresidentGeneral Manager Billy Knight.
“We’re happy to be able to bring Anthony Johnson back to Atlanta,†Knight said. “He provides us with another veteran presence, and brings a great deal of regular season and postseason experience to our club.â€
Entering his third stint with the Hawks, Johnson has played in 40 games this season with the Mavericks, averaging 3.8 ppg, 2.0 apg and 1.2 rpg in 14.1 mpg (.411 FG%, .724 FT%).
