With the NBA’s trading deadline only three weeks away, rumors continue to circulate Vince Carter could be on the move from the Nets, who have until June 30 to extend his current contract no more than three years. One of the teams often mentioned in the running for him is the Magic — partly because he owns a home in Orlando, partly because the Magic can come close to paying him the $16.3 million the Nets will owe him if he doesn’t exercise the opt-out clause in his contract.
