Davis said that unspecified family problems had been distracting him since Christmas and blamed that for the funk that the Warriors — losers of three of their past four — find themselves trying to overcome.
“Basically, I fault myself for the way we’ve been playing,” Davis said. “I’ve got a lot of personal issues going on off the court, family problems, and I’ve let them get in the way. We’ve talked about it, and I’m not going to let it happen again.”
Davis said his issues were ongoing, although he hoped to work toward a resolution when the Warriors head to Los Angeles, his hometown, next week. Davis did say the problems were not related to the health of his grandmother, Lela Nicholson.
