Sitting courtside at a NBA game is kinda expensive. Being a season ticket holder is even more expensive, and it deserves credit.

Lil Wayne created a stir Thursday night by posting on Twitter: “Was going to go to the Thunder game tonight but was denied by the team to be in their arena. Wow. Smh. Go Spurs!”

In a text message to ESPN’s Colleen Dominguez, Lil Wayne wrote, “They denied me the tix. Didnt want me in their arena. They also said if I do come, I can only sit behind the bench, not on the floor & that I wouldn’t be able to get any special escort nor entrance. They said its the ‘Oklahoma way’.”

Thunder spokesman Dan Mahoney says Lil Wayne’s representatives did contact the team requesting tickets but insisted that he sit on the front row, and none of those seats was available. Oklahoma City sold out every home game during the regular season and playoffs this season.

During last nights Lakers loss to the Nuggets. Melissa Rohlin from the Los Angles Times caught up with Lil Wayne sitting courtside at the Staples Center and the two talked about the Lakers being his favorite team and Kobe Bryant being his favorite player of all-time.

In fact @LilTunechi says Kobe is “the greatest player to touch a basketball” and that The Black Mamba ‘inspires his life.” Now that’s deep.

If “Above The Rim” had a straight to DVD sequel, I imagine this is what it would look like. Young Jeezy resurrects the role of Birdie which was originally played by Tupac in this music video called “Ballin’” that features Lil Wayne, and just like Pac in the movie. Young Jeezy tries to strong-arm this video’s version of Kyle Watson with a bandanna knotted in the front. Again it just doesn’t work, I blame this videos version of Shep for that one.
