For those who really like to geek out about basketball at an extremely high level. This TED talk USC Professor Rajiv Maheswaran gave about how he and his colleagues used big data to figure out what a good basketball shot looks like, should tickle your fancy. His recreation of Ray Allen’s shot to save the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals is pretty cool too.
