It feels like this already happened years ago without the announcement, but today it was made official. Allen Iverson has retired from professional basketball.
“I gave everything I had to basketball,” Iverson said at the Wells Fargo Center. “The passion is still there but the desire to play is not. It was a great ride.”
Not much more can be said about this situation that hasn’t already been said over the last five years. So, lets just hope Iverson’s second act gains the traction it deserves. Fare thee well Bubba Chuck, you will be missed.
