Bill Russell was the best player in Boston Celtics franchise history and one of the most decorated players to ever play in the league.
A five-time MVP winner and twelve-time All-Star. Russell was the nucleus of the Celtics dynasty that won eleven NBA Championships during his thirteen-year career. Prior to the NBA, Russell led the University of San Francisco to two consecutive NCAA championships and also won a gold medal at the 1956 Summer Olympics as the USA captain.
So even before DJ Khaled, all he ever did was win. In this illustrated piece by German artist Björn Wichmann, the winning spirit of the iconic Russell in his prime is captured perfectly.
