50 Feet Of LeBron In Harlem

/

On the first day of the free agency period, you got a glimpse of an awesome 50 foot painting of LeBron James smack dab in the middle of legendary Rucker Park.

Created by artists Kristen and Erik, who were kind enough to give me more details on how this excellent mural came to be. The 50 foot ode to ‘The King’ was commissioned by the powers that be of the Harlem court and the couple jumped at the chance to be apart of this tres cool project.

With only a weeks notice, it took them 4 days in total including digital layout prepping to create the second biggest LeBron James art piece I’ve ever seen in my hoop lovin’ life.

All in all, it was an awesome experience said Kristen, cool neighborhood (they took care of us), and we both gained a ton of respect for NYC (Harlem). SO…hopefully this painting works to EBC’s intent, gets some buzz, and maybe, just maybe – LeBron.

The art team of two, originally had this piece ready for the NBA Draft and who knows. Maybe tomorrow when LeBron James tells us all via ESPN his decision. The King can give this piece some real life by picking the New York Knicks.

More looks of this creation, after the jump.
