K1X Presents: Heart And Soul Of New York City

/

Without a doubt, K1X is one of my favorite brands because they do the things every basketball company should do effortlessly.

Streetball season is finally here and it now has an official soundtrack from Red Cafe called “Heart & Soul” produced by the legendary Pete Rock. This track is a love letter to streetball in New York City and thanks to K1X and french streetball documentarian Kevin Couliau (Asphalt Chronicles), his Canon 5D Mark II, Art director / director / producer Thibaut de Longeville (Just For Kicks) and motion graphic designer Vincent Dumond of 360 Creative in Paris.

The song turned into a visual love letter to the NYC blacktop and its raw essence featuring an array of street icons doing what they do. I’ve watched this video about 60 times since it landed in my inbox from K1X and I’m sure another 60 times is on its way. If this song and video doesn’t get you antsy to play some streetball you ain’t got a pulse — period.
