Hooped Up

This summer Nike almost dropped the most controversial pair of shoes possibly ever. “Inspired” by the Heavens Gate religious cult, that committed the largest mass suicide in American history with a total of 38 bodies found. Nike was set to release the Heaven’s Gate Nike Dunk SB this past August. Lead by chief creepos Marshall Applewhite and Bonnie Nettles, the Heaven’s Gate members believed that the planet Earth was about to be recycled and that the only chance to survive was to leave it immediately.

When the dead body’s were discovered all the cult members were covered with a purple cloth, dressed in black and sporting black and white Nike Cortez’s. This is off the charts on the creepy scale!

There is no word if Nike will release an Air Waco Massacre Dunk yet.
