Michael Thompson, the Hornets’ director of corporate communications, said the team will not renew an option with Oklahoma City to return next fall. Under terms of the agreement, the Hornets had until today to notify the city of its intentions if it planned to return. The Hornets will be returning to New Orleans after this season to play a full 41-game schedule at the New Orleans Arena for the 2007-08 season.
