With NBA JAM back on the scene with a gangster lean. What was once a two video game title race between NBA Live 10 and NBA 2K10 has become a three video game title death match that will leave gamers everywhere with a tough decision. Which one to buy?

The choice gets even tougher after you see all the trailers for each title because they’re pretty sick as you’ll see below, but I’ll ask you again with a third combatant this time around this year.

adidas Originals has just launched the first Augmented Reality experience in footwear and if you don’t have them you’ll probably go get them. Not now, but right now.

The adidas Originals AR Game Pack is a set of 5 shoes, each printed with an AR code on the tongue. When you hold the code in front of your webcam, you’ll gain access to a virtual version of the adidas Originals Neighborhood. Each month between February and April, adidas will launch a new interactive game within the Neighborhood and your shoe will be the game controller. OMG!

I so dare you to tell me how this union of video games, kicks and the internet isn’t perfect.

I hate McDonalds, like Shaq and love video games. So if this game exist somewhere, I must have it! Either way, this video is awesome and it’s right up there with the Psychedelic Shaq Blue video as the oddest Shaq video I have ever seen. McPwning Ronald on a NBA Jam court to NBA Hangtime music??? Yes please, and throw in one of those free smiles too.

The other characters that get “what for” from Shaq before ole Ronald in order of appearance are: Hatsune Miku, Takakazu Abe, and Hikkoshibaba — who ever they are.

I love me some NBA 2K and with hilarious commercials like this, it’ll be hard for rival game franchises to ever gain ground for airtime on my PS3. The only thing that would make playing NBA 2K better (other than killing my nephews in the game), is playing against Kobe Bryant and making fun of him for his now famous Mamba face.

BTW, seeing that self pass of the glass made me shed a pixel tear.

As you may or may not know, Dwight Howard will grace the cover of NBA Live 10 and as part of his promotional tour he’ll play anybody including school kids and he’ll stick NBA Live 10 stickers on anything, including a puppy.

But to show that he’s an equal opportunity schooler. D12 also takes on ballers at Venice Beach, a Mariachi Band, a gang of mimes, and unsuspecting people shooting hoops who look like their name is Greg. If this game is as good as Dwight Howard is funny, 2K10 could have a run for it’s money.

After they jump, watch extended scenes of Superman taking on a Mariachi Band (insert Delonte West joke here) and a bunch of school kids that can’t breathe around him.

In NBA 2K10, Kobe Bryant is awesome for a variety of reasons. His game is gargantuous, he can hit fade away “J’s” with a hand in his face when fouled and still hit nothin’ but net, he’s better than your opponents awesome guy, and of course he’s awesome because he has four rings.

To bad Derrick Rose forgot about that last one before he started down the “awesome because road” with Kobe Bryant as they played an intense game of NBA 2K “I can’t wait to play this” 10.

If you think Kobe Bryant is good, wait till you use him in NBA 2K10. Of course, I haven’t played the new 2K version due out 10/6/2009 yet, but if he’s any better than he already is in NBA 2K9 it just won’t be fair. To pacify my need for NBA basketball, my NBA 2K9 play has increased and Kobe Bryant has many a memorable game for me and he never complains about PT.

Unless, he does in private to his digital agent behind digital doors.

NBA 2k10 will be available on XBLA 8/26 and on PSN 9/3 and it looks sick. This first look at NBA 2K10: Draft Combine addition to the game will definitely put this series to the next level. If NBA 2K Sports send me a free copy of this game, I’ll say more nice things about them later.

Kobe Bryant will be a free agent in 2010 and Spike Lee and every other Knick fan hopes that Kobe Bryant is at the very least plan B. Plan A of course being LeBron “Loves the Yankees” James. Since the Knicks have more money than NASA, it’s a possibility that both Plan A and Plan B could C their way to New York, but for now you’ll just have to override your trade setting in NBA 2K9 or NBA 2K10 which will have Kobe “4 Rings” Bryant on the cover when it hits store shelves.
